PlantPal — Terms of Service

Draft for review by counsel before publishing. Apple requires a EULA/terms with a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content for any app with user-generated content (Guideline 1.2) — that clause is included below. 1. Acceptance

By using PlantPal you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. The service

PlantPal provides plant-care information, reminders, and a community-contributed plant library. Care and toxicity information is provided for general guidance only and may be incomplete or wrong — especially community-submitted content. Always verify with a professional before relying on it around pets, children, or for plant health. We are not liable for plant, pet, or personal harm.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for your account and keeping your password secure. You may delete your account at any time in the app.

4. User-generated content

• You retain ownership of what you submit but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host,

display, and distribute it within PlantPal.

• You must have the right to submit it and it must be accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• Zero tolerance for objectionable content. Do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive,

hateful, harassing, fraudulent, or otherwise objectionable. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this, and we act on reports within 24 hours.

• Report objectionable content with the in-app flag feature.

5. Purchases & donations

• The optional Supporter membership is an auto-renewing subscription offered monthly

($2.99/month) or annually ($19.99/year), with the localized renewal price shown by the store, and handled by Apple/Google. Manage or cancel it in your store account; refunds follow Apple/Google policies. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.

• Donations are processed by Stripe and are voluntary gifts. They unlock no app features,

are generally non-refundable, and are not tax-deductible (PlantPal is not a tax-exempt charitable organization). We pledge 30% of donations to reforestation and plant-conservation efforts.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service, attempt to breach security, scrape at scale, or spam contributions.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for harm resulting from reliance on care or toxicity information.

8. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms or discontinue features. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
