PlantPal ("we", "us") makes a plant-care app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect

Without an account: the plant library and tracking features work offline, and your tracked

plants stay on your device. We collect limited app-interaction events (such as app launches, plants added or watered, and feature taps) with a randomly generated persistent app-install identifier. We use this Product Interaction data for analytics. If you sign in, analytics events may also include your Supabase account ID so we can understand feature use across the account.

Advertising: we show ads via Google AdMob, which may use a device advertising identifier

to serve and measure ads. On iOS we ask for your permission first (App Tracking Transparency). You can limit ad tracking in your device settings. Supporters see no ads.

If you create an account (optional): your email address and a profile (display name,

reputation). Accounts are needed to contribute to the community library.

If you contribute: the plants, corrections, tips, or photos you submit, linked to your account.

How we use it

To provide the app and reminders.
To run the community library (publishing approved contributions, crediting contributors).
To understand feature use and improve the app using Product Interaction analytics.
To show ads (free tier) and to process the optional Supporter subscriptions ($2.99/month or

$19.99/year; the store shows the localized renewal price before purchase).

To process optional donations (handled by Stripe). We pledge 30% of donations to reforestation.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it except with the processors below.

Processors we use

Google AdMob — advertising. (Google privacy policy)
Supabase — authentication, Product Interaction analytics, and database hosting for community features.
Apple / Google — app distribution and subscription (in-app purchase) processing.
Stripe — payment processing for optional donations. We receive donation records, not full

Your choices and rights

Use the app without an account — no personal data required.
Delete your account in-app (Settings → Account → Delete account). This removes your account

and personal data (including cloud-backed-up plants); approved community contributions remain but are anonymized.

Limit ad tracking via device settings / the iOS ATT prompt.
Depending on where you live (e.g., EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have rights to access,

correct, or delete your data — contact us at cody@macdoesrei.com.

Children

PlantPal is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We'll update this policy here and revise the date above.
